Wide Range of Ciders, Ales & Lagers
We serve quality real ales, as well as seven ciders, four lagers, Stout, John Smith's smoothflow & Hawkstone Session Lager on tap.
Our regular ales are London Pride & Tribute. Alongside this we support all of the local breweries by rotating our offerings regularly so there is always something new to try!
Dog Friendly
We welcome friendly well-behaved dogs that are on leads. We even allow their owners to come too!
Friendly, well-behaved children are also welcome, with their owners.
Pub Games and Teams
The Rising Sun is home to five darts teams (Monday, Thursday and Friday) and two quoits teams, who all play in the Forest of Dean Leagues. If you are interested in joining a team please ask at the bar.
The Rising Sun also has a pay-as-you-play pool table for use by customers.
